About Our Countdown To Launch Catapult Fun Team Building Challenge

Your team will design and build their very own rocket launch assembly.  No your team does not need not be industrial design engineers or rocket scientists, just willing to innovate and come up something clever that will take the breathe away from other teams.

Each team will receive a really odd mix of materials and items from which they need to then plan and assemble a flying machine that will launch eggs the furthest distance.  It will be clear which teams elevate their performance to meet the construction challenge. Success will be a byproduct of design, planning, great communication, effective leadership, innovative approaches and, of course, a team’s ability to fly!

Oh!  We can also make it where teams need to earn some money first in order to buy the materials and complete some challenging ice breakers before they begin the build.

Teams need to pay attention to quality, structural integrity and yes even adorn their catapult with decoration as they prepare for their countdown.

It is so much fun as every one is surprised with the distances and records achieved. Teams do get multiple attempts so the tension and excite builds as the men in their machines go out into outer space with some novel innovations and designs.

  • Great exercise built on design, fun and enterprise
  • Innovation and teamwork come into play
  • Over engineer or go for simplicity? Let the design begin!
  • Brings everyone together for a playful experience
  • Links very well into a wider program where money needs to be earned to buy the materials.
